Fatal Attraction - Blackberry Venezuela

Blackberry - VENEZUELA

BB mobile phones are very popular in Venezuela. There are many different models and offers available for all consumer segments. Most of BB users are at the loyalty stage, there is no other brand that could fulfill the Venezuelan communication needs, basically, because everybody has a BB, and, the bb msm is the most effective way to reach a relative, friend or college. BB mobile phones are very expensive, and, despite there are many economic problems in Venezuela, is the top seller brand. Other issue in Venezuela is the delinquency. Every two hours, a Venezuelan is killed by shotgun, this is a real issue. Also, the BB is one of the most attractive rewards for thieves; they could kill to get a BB phone to trade in the illicit market. Nevertheless, people still buying bb mobile phones. This is what I call, fatal attraction……

Here, Gaby and Juan are talking about the main drivers of having a BB phone, and the potential issues of been a BB loyal consumers in Venezuela.

Next, other examples about the bb Fatal attraction. The speech is very consistent. I this case I had to translate the interview. So, if can´t understand a word, don´t panic, could be my fault... but, believe me, they are talking about the same....

Also, talking or chatting while you are driving home (any time during the day) would represent a serious risk for your live.....but they don´t care.

The worse thing is that main mobile service companies (Movistar -Telefonica, Digitel - TIM), would accept any BB phone, no matter what the source is (legal or illegal). probably there are more that two phones per capita in Venezuela because of this.

Here, Miriam is talking about her addiction for chatting. Her BB was a gift, and she cannot live without it. For her, the main competitor could be I phone, however, would be difficult for apple to take the bb business, due to the BB messenger penetration in this market.

Just a closing video about the safety issues in Venezuela....

By the way, Venezuela is not that bad, this is the price for living in paradise.....
